pretty parquet

this extraordinary apartment in stockholm was designed by architects tham & videgard hansson , whilst i do not think i could live in a space like this myself i think their daring and creative design is amazing and highly inspirational . the architects were featured in this month's architectural review for their work on this project.

the colours relate to the trees in the park opposite the humlegarden townhouse as it changes from greens in summer through to orange , red and pink in autumn and black in winter .

i have spent the afternoon on a hunt for unusal / unique welcome signs for front doors , needless to say there are none out there but i did come across this lovely little vinatge tin sign from a website allbarnwood.com ... and dont you think these cupcakes look divine ... they were designed for a wedding (image borrowed from cakechannel.com) hope they brighten your afternoon as much as they did mine ...
